Being deeply connected to traditional music, both the Mugham and the Ashiq traditions, Rəhman Məmmədli has managed to transpose these genres onto the electric guitar through this creation of new and distinct playing techniques. His ability to emulate the voice of classical Mugham singers led to his nickname "The Man with the Singing Fingers".
