Styx Overflow: Four Dimensions in a nutsHell - expect a multimedial overflow of Noise, Forms, Light and Space!
'Styx Overflow’ seeks to put the ungenre of noise under its own scalpel, and transmit the resulting howl. While a fitted selection of other media will also be employed — involving fashion, spoken text, video, performance, workshops, and installations — its acute concern is that noise, despite arising from the ecstatic abandonment of all boundaries, is sounding increasingly homogeneous. Among the consummate ruin of semiotic collapse strewn across the end of history, it demands a veritably prodigious depravity to still make out those misshapen whispers hinting at an emergent development that would absorb its hot, chaotic substrate and express inversely the cold positivity of social desolation. Culture spirals, which is to say: it repeats with deviation.
No age eschatology — the machine gothic study of trans-systemic (or abstract) death — deals with history as the river Styx: a boundary to the other side, able to dissolve most but not all beings within itself, made what it is by the bonds made along its path, and never able to be stepped in the same way as before.
