Input and Discussion, organised by BO Merkste Selba?! (Neighbourhood group of LINKE Pankow)

After lengthy negotiations, the EU member states have reached an agreement: The "Common European Asylum System" - or CEAS for short - is intended to provide solutions for migration to Europe. However, this means, above all, even more isolation! Instead of real solutions, the EU states are, once again, massively tightening their asylum policies. It makes the situation for people on the move even more dangerous than it already is.

For years, countless people have been dying at the EU's so-called external borders while trying to reach supposedly safe places. And the conditions in the reception camps within the EU states are also becoming increasingly dramatic.

We want to address the following questions: What could left-wing perspectives on Europe's policy of sealing people off look like? What approaches and solutions could there be? And how do those affected deal with these inhumane conditions?

Please note: We still need some time to finish the details with our guests - more info asap on the website, twitter and instagram channel merksteselba / merkste_selba
