The situation at the border in Brandenburg with Poland is getting increasingly worse - that's why we want to gather on April 20th at 2 p.m.! A racist logic is used to construct the narrative that people on the move are a threat to Europe and would endanger the stability of social welfare. As a consequence the Geneva Refugee Convention, which is anchored in European asylum law, is ignored at the European external borders as well as at the borders of Germany and especially Brandenburg. Asylum law is becoming increasingly stricter, harassing payment cards are being reintroduced, and those seeking protection are being criminalized and locked away. Access to the healthcare system is denied. We can no longer tolerate this: Come to the corner Spornmachergasse/ Slubicer Sraße in Frankfurt/Oder starting at 2 p.m. Join us in demanding a right to stay for everyone, humane treatment of those seeking protection, compliance with basic human rights and the end of any tightening of asylum laws by the German federal government, as the situation is already unbearable.
