Dokufilm: "SOMONTE los puños en la tierra"

Five hundred day labourers from the Andalusian Workers' Union (SAT) occupied Somonte on 12 March 2012, a 400-hectare estate located 11 km from Palma del Río (Córdoba, Andalusian).
In the documentary “Somonte: los puños en la tierra” a group of Andalusian day labourers show how land occupation allowed them to overcome situations of extreme necessity such as unemployment, evictions and feeding difficulties. In the day-to-day life of this community, the protagonists reflect on collective and rightful crisis solutions, in order to achieve work, food and dignity.
