At his death in 1987, writer James Baldwin left behind an unfinished manuscript entitled "Remember this House." In it, he takes a personal look at the lives, achievements, and murders of three of his best friends: civil rights activists Medgar Evers, Malcolm X, and Martin Luther King. The documentary takes the existing material from Baldwin's book and expands it into a history of racism in modern America.
