The world was built by men for men and the infrastructure was built by men for cars. It's time for us FLINTA* to conquer the streets!
That's why we're organising the Purple Ride again this year on 8 March, a (queer) feminist bike demo through Berlin-Kreuzberg. Join us all!
The demo grew out of a FLINTA* Critical Mass, and is now a large event with around 2000 people. The bicycle is our symbol for emancipation - we finally want real equality of opportunity - and that starts with more visibility for FLINTA*.
The facts:
- Start: 8 March, 12 pm, Mariannenplatz, Kreuzberg
- Bring: yourselves, your bike, your FLINTA* friends! (All FLINTA* are welcome, including non-queer people)
- Wear: Purple (if you have)
- Route: approx. 2 hours through Kreuzberg and Mitte
- End: back at Mariannenplatz
