The solidarity group "Auswärts" invites you to the second day of the Film festival "Aus der Nacht heraus 7" for an evening dedicated to:
Resistance and Social Movements in Times of War
War today is everywhere. It shapes our present through genocide, military occupation, ethnic cleansing and militarisation. In Palestine, we are witnessing a genocide in real time, marked by mass killing, starvation and displacement. And we are watching!
It is time to reflect on the role of resistance and social movements in times of war. How can we take a position that does not fall into the trap of choosing between different faces of domination? How can we build a clear and consistent solidarity that stands with the oppressed?Together with activists and researchers from Palestine, Syria, Israel, Kurdistan and Iran, we will discuss how people under siege are organising themselves in the midst of violence. We will also ask what meaningful support from here could look like. What does it mean to build a movement that is anti-imperialist, anticapitalist, antifascist, anticolonial and antipatriarchal?
The programme will start with a panel discussion followed by a screening of the film related to the topic. The event will be held in English.
Panel Discussion: @Dilara Lorin, @Ido Arad, @Mohammad Abu Hajar, @Nora Ragab, @Sanaz Azimipur
