NATURALEZA SUPREMA

Screening of Chapter IV of the “Señoritas” documentary series tells the story of Lucía Vargas, one of the pioneers of hip hop in Colombia and an iconic figure on the scene. Through her story, we learn about her personal struggle and how hip hop became a tool for healing after her family was kidnapped, helping her to reconcile with life and find a purpose. Lucía's story reflects the transformation of the concept of “señorita,” which in the past represented submission and obedience to the patriarchy, and today symbolizes a brave, feisty woman, defender of her rights, activist, and rap creator.
