🎶Music 🎶
۞ Carmen Xia (@carmenxia) is a singer and rapper from Cádiz who blends flamenco and Andalusian folklore with urban rhythms such as hip hop and electronic music, creating a unique style that fuses tradition and contemporary. Her lyrics address Andalusian roots, the dignity of working-class women, the fight for social rights and the claim of Andalusian culture, with a combative, feminist message. She has collaborated with artists like Califato 3/4 and Tribade, and pays tribute to icons such as Camarón, La Paquera and Mala Rodríguez, establishing herself as one of the most forward-thinking voices in the Andalusian music scene.
۞ Deliriô (@de.lirioh) is a band of migrants who identify with Andalusian culture and spirit. “We experiment with the music of our roots to tell stories from our present in Berlin.”
۞ 1´illo & Uriwilbury will accompany us on an eclectic journey through the diverse sounds of the South, from rumba and flamenco to more contemporary sounds like funk, hip hop, and electronic music.
🎬Film & Talk with the director 🎬:
Ellas en la Ciudad
Director: Reyes Gallego
Starring the generation of women who populated the peripheral neighborhoods built in the 1970s. Through their lives in three districts of Seville, we discover how they are the backbone of a city that often turns its back on them. Their stories touch on gender, care work, urban planning, education and political struggles. Their testimonies are essential to understand, from a gender perspective, the cultural heritage of our country and the transformation of our cities over the last 50 years.
