My sibling the Königsheide forest (2,5 hours) What is your relationship to the forest? Do you bathe in it, hunt, gather, build or walk your dog in it?
What if you could have a real relationship to the forest, like it was your sibling? Not just a place you did things?
As part of this tour, we will learn about sustainable, playful and engaging things we can do to repair Königsheide, one of the most negatively impacted forests in Berlin. By the end of the tour, you will see the forest, especially Königsheide in a completely different light.
Bring work-gloves to handle wood, water-protected shoes and prepare for the weather!
Mal is a Stiftung Naturschutz Berlin certified nature guide (ZNL) that has been guiding for 20 years and is deeply embedded in the nightlife and political communities of Berlin, including producing content for LSVD MILES and numerous queer and feminist orgs visiting or in the city. Upsi (she/her) works as an assistant-person and helps to facilitate organisation.

Place:
*we begin on Südostallee near the entrance of Kleingarten-KGA on Sudostallee (click)
and we end near the Makarenko former Children’s home (click).
Tour pricing and participation transparency:
Everyone deserves access to culture and history. The tour has a sliding-scale that assures the guide gets a chance at a fair wage and the guests a chance at an exceptional tour.
*Stressfaktor-Guests: 0€ - 60€ per person*
For my pre-booked/ customised tours I charge 60€ - 120€/hr, with soli possible for those who can't afford it.
Freelance minimum wage is around 15€/hr in Germany, beginner commercial guides earn around 40€/hr.
