Propaganda: The Art of Selling Lies @ 🥘 Cantina Communal – Film Night

Tuesday the 17th we gather again for Cantina Communal, our weekly format for shared food, screenings, and conversation.

This time we’ll watch the documentary Propaganda: The Art of Selling Lies, which explores how propaganda and persuasion techniques shape public opinion. As media landscapes become increasingly polarized and social media algorithms control the flow of information, the film looks at how narratives are constructed, who benefits from them, and how similar strategies have been used throughout history.

By examining both past and present examples, the documentary demystifies the tools used by political actors, media systems, and power structures to influence populations.

In addition to the film, we’ll also have a mystery musical guest ⭐️ joining us for a short live performance during the evening.

Cantina Communal always means simple communal food, a screening, and time to hang out together afterwards.
