Is it like the Eurovision Song Contest?
Not really.
Is it like the Grammy Awards?
Also not quite.

The Musical Improv Contest is its own strange and playful format somewhere in between.

Performers create fully improvised musical scenes inspired by song titles shouted out by the audience. Everything happens live: no script, no preparation, just music, improvisation, and collective energy between performers and audience.

You’ll laugh, you’ll see moments that somehow work, moments that absolutely shouldn’t work but do anyway, and at the end the audience gets to vote for their favorite musical moment.

And what happens after that?
Honestly — we also don’t know yet.

For those coming straight from work, we’ll try to prepare simple hot food for early arrivals: spicy rice plates, “reis mit scheiss”, maybe katsu-style curry rice. Something quick and comforting before the show starts.
